gion.Communal is not "one who is a man of religion" but "one who practices politics through religion". For them god & religion are merely the instruments to use to live luxurious life.
Indian society is composed of various religious groups:
Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Shiks & several others. Today the Muslims contribute second largest religious community in India but the strained relation between Hindus & Muslims have existed for a long time.Indian Both the communities today tend to consider their future as a question of 'US' versus 'THEY' but actually there are some deceptive & misleading concepts at root of this hatred. The Ramjanmbhoomi - Babri Masjid issue in 1992-93 further affected the delicate balance of communal harmony.
The Hindu Muslim communalism in India has socio - political origins & religion alone is not the reason. This should not be considered as a communal problem only as the fact is this issue is not any different from anti brahmin agitation or intercaste conflicts.

RELIGION HAS COME TO BE POLITICIZED & THE POLITICS HAS COME TO BE CRIMINALIZED.
Unless all communities consider themselves as a part of one nation , the containing of communal disharmony will remain difficult. It is necessary to look at the real problems of religious minorities in terms of unemployment, literacy & getting them a fair share of representation in every field. Secular structures have to be promoted & preserved .
