Do U Know ?????
What Does 25m , 30m , or 100m written on (front or back panel ) wrist watches mean????
These values represent the water resistant level of watch......Logically Water Proof means comp
letely immersed in water.....Water Resitant w.r.t atmospheric pressure i.e below sea level 30M (possibly on open ground.)
ATM - A unit of air pressure that approximates the pressure exerted by the atmosphere at sea level.
WATER RESISTANT 30M (3 ATM / 100 Feet) *
Protected in everyday life, bathing, accidental splashes, short swimming or car washing - it is resistant against perspiration, water vapor, rain drops. It is tested for water resistance up to 3 ATM, and must be able to survive 30 minutes under water at a depth of 1 m (3 feet) followed by 90 seconds under a pressure corresponding to 30 meters.
Bluntly we may say:
25m = we can wash hands wearing the watch.
30m = we can take bath wearing watch.
100m = we can swim wearing it.
